Before the doors open
Finish the tutorial and agree on one job each
Anomaly Cafe is designed around a team keeping Emma's Cafe moving while staying alert. New groups lose time when everyone chases the same order, so choose a front counter watcher, a kitchen lead and a runner before the shift becomes busy.
Solo players should work in short loops: check the next customer, start the order, restock the station you just used, then return to observation. Avoid starting several tasks that you cannot finish.
- Keep the counter and kitchen in each other's line of communication.
- Call out unusual customers before acting.
- Leave shared items where the next player can find them.
During service
Use the observe, confirm, act loop
Do not make a decision from one glance. Compare what the customer looks like, how they behave and what the cafe's available checks show. If something is inconsistent, pause the order and ask a teammate to confirm.
The official description promises original anomalies that can appear unexpectedly, so a checklist is more reliable than memorizing one screenshot.
When the pace jumps
Protect the queue before chasing perfection
Keep one person responsible for the next decision while the rest clear finished food, restock and reset stations. A calm queue is safer than four players changing roles every few seconds.
- If a task has an owner, do not duplicate it without calling out.
- If the counter is uncertain, slow service for one confirmation.
- After an event, reset supplies before taking the next rush.
